What does Botox do?
BOTOX Cosmetic is a prescription medicine containing onabotulinumtoxinA. Botulinum toxin injections temporarily relax selected muscles to reduce the appearance of certain expression lines. Your clinician assesses whether the proposed treatment fits your goals and individual circumstances.
How long do results last?
The American Academy of Dermatology describes effects for lines and wrinkles as lasting about three to four months, sometimes longer. Results are temporary and individual experiences vary; this is not a promised duration for your treatment.

Risks and symptoms to understand
Possible side effects include bruising, swelling, soreness and temporary drooping of an eyelid or brow. BOTOX Cosmetic carries a boxed warning that toxin effects can spread beyond the injection area. Problems with swallowing, speaking or breathing after treatment require immediate medical attention and can be life-threatening.
